United Methodist Women
Purpose of the United Methodist Women:
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
We have 2 groups women can join:
Hope Circle meets on Third Wednesday of the month, 12:30 pm
Joy Circle meets on Third Tuesday of the month, 6:30 pm
Have you ever gone to a memorial service or funeral and heard a reading or a song, and say "I want that done at my service."? On November 6th at 6:30 pm, Pastor Sandra will present to us a program on Funeral Planning and will help us complete a form, so that when the time comes, our families will not have to struggle and try to remember what we said we wanted at our service. In addition, Gary Melville from United Methodist Foundation of New England will lead us on Planned Giving. This event will be for both women and men, open to all. Also, we will hold our annual pledge night before the evening program, where we pledge our prayers, our service and our gifts in the name of Jesus for our different missions.
Please note the change of dates for our circles:
Joy Circle will meet at 6:30 pm on November 13th in Fellowship Hall.
Hope Circle will meet at 12:30 pm on November 14th, also in Fellowship Hall.
